WATERFIXER MODEL 500 For Boats, RVs and Homes The WaterFixer Model 500 uses a 2 Stage Filter System to filter and purify water while allowing a 1.5gpm flow rate; perfect for single point of use applications. If you are only looking to treat your drinking water at the sink faucet, ice maker, or refrigerator the Model 500 might be the best rv water filter for you.

STAGE 1 - Pre-Filtration: The .5m carbon block water filter cartridge removes particles down to a half micron (0.5) which effectively removes Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts and anything that is too large for the ultra violet water purifier to penetrate. It also has the side benefit of removing taste and odor issues from your water.

STAGE 2 - Stainless Steel UV Chamber: After the water leaves the carbon block filter it enters the UV sterilization chamber where and organism that comes through is sterilized. In this step your water is exposed to high intensity germicidal ultra violet light. The UV light effectively destroys any bacteria or viruses that may be present.

NO SPECIAL TOOLS: Easy installation requires very little time and simple household tools and is very simple to install. For maximum effectiveness, you install as close to point of use as possible. Simply cut into water line and connect incoming line to prefilter 1/2 inch NPT opening, then connect outflow to other end of water line. Plug the 120V into any grounded 120V outlet or wire the 12V to your 12V power circuit.
